Welcome to Carlingfesty.com!
CarlingFesty.com is a website dedicated to both the Carling Festivals, Leeds Festival and Reading Festival. Here all the latest
news and
updates will be posted about
Leeds Festival 2008 and
Reading Festival 2008. We first launched in 2005 where we kept everyone updated about Carling Festival 2006 and then 2007, this year we hope to improve the site a lot! We will be keeping you up to date with
news, rumours, tips, tricks and news about the Leeds and Reading festival
lineups as soon as we hear it!
Mean Fiddler (the guys who run Leeds and Reading) are giving people the opportunity to have a say in the running of the two festivals. This happened last year and led to some improvements such as late night entertainment, camp fires at leeds, 24 hour breakfast vans and other things.
If you want to apply to have your say then e-mail hblake@meanfiddler.co.uk. Telling them what festival discussion you want to attend and what issues you would like to discuss.
The festival discussions are as follows
- 24th April SHEFFIELD - Pod A, The Hub at 7pm
- 25th April LEEDS - Congreve Room, West Yorkshire Playhouse at 7pm
- 9th May, OXFORD - The Zodiac at 7pm
This is your chance to make a real difference to the two festivals!

Well it seems weekend tickets have officially sold out completely. I honestly expected them to go slowe than last year due to Glastonbury happening this year but it would seem that Reading and Leeds are two very popular festivals. Day tickets and Early entry passes are still available.
Sorry to anyone who couldn’t get on this site or the forum last night, we were getting absolutely hammered by people looking for tickets and advice. I’m sorry about this and can promisie that this will not happen next year, we will rent our own server for the ticket announcement if necessary.
We’re goign to keep an eye out for weekend tickets and let you know if any more come on sale, this did happen last year so it may happen this year. It is advisable to keep checking ticket sites as often people’s credit cards get rejected and they loose their tickets.

There are two fairly solid confirmations for Leeds and Reading this year. Arcade Fire have selfconfirmed themselves and various news sites have confirmed that the Red Hot Chilli Peppers will be headling one night at the festivals this year.
Obviously nothing is one hundred percent untill the lineup is announced this Monday, but you can read about this here.

If you’re planning on buying tickets for Leeds and Reading, which you almost certainly are, then it’s strongly reccomended that you read our Carling Weekend Ticket Guide, as this will give you the best chance of getting tickets.
This is just a quick note to say we’ve updated the site with ticket links, so that you won’t need to browse or search through the ticket sites (as these will be very slow on the day) yourself. It’s is highly reccomend that you bookmark the links below.

Disregard the previous post, it has been officially announced that tickets will be on sale on the 19th of March (Monday) at 7 P.M. 2007. The lineup will be revealed on the website (and here) at 6.45 P.M.
These dates are 100% official unlike the previous dates which we were unsure on. We’ll have links for tickets up soon.
If you really want to know the lineup then I reccomend checking this website regularly as we will probably get the lineup before anyone else including the official site (we did last year!).

Update: This is incorrect. Tickets go on sale on the 19th of March 7 P.M.
There is a strong rumour that Leeds and Reading festival tickets will go on sale at 7 p.m. on the 26th of March. This is after the lineup is announced on Radio 1. This isn’t 100% as it hasn’t been confirmed by the official site but it is from a valuable source. If you want to be alerted (among other things) when tickets go on sale then sign up to our Mailing List. Also, be sure to check out our ticket guide for advice on ordering tickets.
