Vote for Reading and Leeds 2007 Lineup

Mean Fiddler have opened up voting for your top three bands you want to see playing at Reading 2007 and Leeds 2007. Simply sign up and click “Click here to comp”.
Here you can let them know who you’d like to see, Mean Fiddler don’t say how much of an affect it has on their actual decision, all I know is the top three I voted for last year didn’t appear at Leeds or Reading, but who knows how many vote.
You will also get automatically entered in to a competition by voting, so get voting here: http://www.meanfiddler.com/members/membership/yourarticle.aspx?articleid=328

MCR Frontman loved Bottling

The My Chemical Romance frontman “Kearns” has said that he loved the bottling he recieved a Reading Festival this year because he “doesn’t want to be loved by everyone”.

Interesting stuff, you can read more about this here: http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/kearns%20loves%20reading%20bottling_1010461
And you can see a video of him being knocked out by a bottle at Reading Festival here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=XO4QsQxcpjk

There doesn’t appear to be anyone comment from the Panic! At The Disco guys on their frontman being knocked out cold, here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=mxS_lLGQ2KE

Leeds and Reading nominated in Festival Awards

The “Festival Awards” (apparently the festival equivalent of the Oscasrs) has nominated the Carling Weekend for the following awards:

You can vote for them here: http://www.festivalawards.com/

Intereseting that they’re being nominated for their toilets, last year they won an award for the worst toilets and I didn’t see many improvements this year!

Leeds and Reading Festival Video Competition!

Mean Fiddler held a competition for the best festival moments this year, they gave cameras to various people and left them to film what they want to.

Well, the winners of the video competitions have been announced and you can watch both the Leeds Festival and Reading Festival videos from 2006 here: http://leedsfestival.com/displayPage.asp?ArticleID=3257&URLID=67.
They’re about 3 minutes long each and are pretty entertaining, well worth a watch!

New Look CarlingFesty Launches!

Well, it’s finally complete! The all new CarlingFesty.com!
This site probably looks completely different to you, those visit leeds-festival-2006.com and reading-festival-2006.com have been forwarded here. If you’re wondering what’s going on, basically we’ve joined the two sites, this means we can work on just the one, halving the work load for us which will double the content for you!

What’s New?

Firstly, we’ve introduced a brand new mailing list / newsletter system, you can join by clicking the “Join Our Newsletter” link here or at the top of the page. Once you’ve entered and confirmed your e-mail you will be e-mailed each and every time new posts are made here. This means that you don’t have to keep checking here or anywhere else on a regular basis when the Leeds or Reading Festival 2007 lineup is close, because we’ll automatically e-mail you the second we hear of any updates!

The new look forum is also on its way, it should be up any time soon. It has various features that we’ve been wanting for a long time such as polls and private messaging!

Combined site, as mentioned previously, we’ll be talking about both Reading Festival 2007 and Leeds Festival 2007 news, rumours, the lineup and so on. Having the seperate sites didn’t make much sense, as mostly Reading and Leeds news are the same if not similar, and people interested in Reading Festival 2007 news are also interested in Leeds Festival 2007 news and vice versa!

That’s all I can think of right now, thanks for reading!
