Mean Fiddler have announced today that Reading Festival will definitely take place even though the venue has been flooded in recent storms. Part of the areas used for camping flooded after prolonged rain caused part of the River Thames, close to the site, to burst its banks. However, with the weather warming up and river levels receding, organisers insist everything looks good for the event.
Good news for anyone worried about the flooding, as for Leeds Festival the venue hasn’t been flooded so there is no doubt as to whether it will take place.

There are two fairly solid confirmations for Leeds and Reading this year. Arcade Fire have selfconfirmed themselves and various news sites have confirmed that the Red Hot Chilli Peppers will be headling one night at the festivals this year.
Obviously nothing is one hundred percent untill the lineup is announced this Monday, but you can read about this here.

Disregard the previous post, it has been officially announced that tickets will be on sale on the 19th of March (Monday) at 7 P.M. 2007. The lineup will be revealed on the website (and here) at 6.45 P.M.
These dates are 100% official unlike the previous dates which we were unsure on. We’ll have links for tickets up soon.
If you really want to know the lineup then I reccomend checking this website regularly as we will probably get the lineup before anyone else including the official site (we did last year!).

Update: This is incorrect. Tickets go on sale on the 19th of March 7 P.M.
There is a strong rumour that Leeds and Reading festival tickets will go on sale at 7 p.m. on the 26th of March. This is after the lineup is announced on Radio 1. This isn’t 100% as it hasn’t been confirmed by the official site but it is from a valuable source. If you want to be alerted (among other things) when tickets go on sale then sign up to our Mailing List. Also, be sure to check out our ticket guide for advice on ordering tickets.

It would seem that it is possible to buy parking tickets for Reading already. It should be pointed out that this hasn’t been officially announced so it’s unclear if you will be buying last years parking tickets or similar. Either way, if you’ve got the money to spare it may worth buying them know before they sell out.
Buy parking tickets for Reading here: http://www.seetickets.com/mean_multi/price.asp?code=206308
Please note that this is for Reading Festival only, parking at Leeds Festival is free. Also there are no other tickets on sale.
